  • Full-fat milk — 1 cup / 240 ml
  • Saffron — 8–10 strands
  • Warm milk — 1 tbsp, for soaking saffron
  • Sugar — 2–3 tsp, or to taste

  • Kadak Chai — 1 potli

    Soak saffron in 1 tbsp warm milk for 5 minutes.

    Bring the water to a boil in a saucepan.

    Add the Kadak Chai potli.

    Simmer for 2 minutes.

    Add milk and sugar.

    Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for another 2 minutes.

    Add the saffron milk.

    Simmer gently for 30–45 seconds.

    Turn off the heat and remove the potli.
